Bas van Koolwijk uses both sound and image, be it analogue or in numerical code, as interchangeable data. He produces visual and acoustic compositions in which both manifestations powerfully interact. His artworks can often be seen as an attack on the illusion of the medium itself.
Van Koolwijk develops his own hardware and software applications.

FDBCK AV - Red Flag screening
Filmmaker and artist Joost Rekveld presents a small exhibition connected to themes in his own work. The result is a selection of five works of four contemporary, Dutch filmmakers. With their work they use the medium itself: film. They create images by building machines or making software. The material they use is manipulative and exists of elements you look through, such as video signals, pixels and liquid crystals.
With work of: Jet Smits, Bart Vegter, Bas van Koolwijk, Telcosystems and Joost Rekveld.
